It was about two years ago that Brecht, the owner's husband, jokingly forbade her from baking anymore delicious cakes, cookies or confections unless they were having company. "Otherwise, I eat all of them!" he complained. Right around that time the coffeeshop formerly known as Cup o' Joe went up for sale, and the next step was obvious to both of them. They made an offer. The offer was accepted, and Lucy's was born! Why "Lucy's?" you may be asking. That's easy - it's Sara's middle name!

In addition to spending many hours in her own kitchen, Sara was a baker at Lazzaroni's Lakeside, in Cassadaga, NY, at Baraka Cafe in Cambridge, MA, and she has followed multiple baking classes at ICE (Institute of Culinary Education, NYC, voted IACP's Culinary School of the Year, 2015).

Come to Lucy's to experience her delicate creations in a quaint victorian setting. We look forward to having you as our guest.

The Lucy's Story

What goes well with

a delicious confection?

A great cup of coffee, of course, and Lucy's has the best!

We are very excited to offer  Batdorf and Bronson coffee and espresso. We love the rich and varied flavors in every cup, and we especially love that their decaf offerings are just as wonderful as their caffeinated
